A visit to Eataly London
Deprived of a European trip this year, we recently visited Eataly, the new Italian food emporium.
What is Eataly London?
A 42,000 square-foot Italian market and dining concept in Liverpool Street and an experiential food market/restaurant hybrid where you can shop, dine, learn to cook or relax with a coffee or Aperol spritz. Already available in 15 countries, this is the first in the UK. Three restaurants and six eateries are spread across two floors and more than 5000 high-quality Italian products are available. Open kitchens and production labs also add to the immersive experience.
What products are on offer?
An incredible range, starting from the coffee shop through to the prettily decorated cakes, gelato and confectionery tunnel, past the chocolate wall and on through to freshly baked bread and pizza. Upstairs is a entire universe of pasta, cheese, pasta sauces, meats, wine and condiments. Much of the produce is home grown with traceability stories. It’s beautiful, with an easy mood, and lots of space to browse.
The dining spot Pasta e Pizza serves a homemade tagliolini with butter, Parmigiano Reggiano DOP and seasonal, fresh black truffle - it is divine!
