The next wave of Sainsbury's Future Brands innovation
Described as edgy by The Guardian, and chasing entrepreneurial heat by Marketing Week , Sainsbury’s new wave of food innovation called ‘Taste of the Future’ hits 69 larger stores this week.
We are definitely fans of being bolder and it’s exciting seeing the raft of new brands and products. The Premium Drinks category is part of the trial and has been a leading light in Sainsbury's innovation drive. A trial of this size is a credible way of checking in to see if we are ready for the next wave of the Future Brands range, which includes:
🌊 Doctor Seaweed - Weed & Wonderful, infused oils
👏🏽 Bootleg Booch - authentic alcoholic kombucha
☕️ Aduna World - Africa-inspired including teas, powders
🐟 Sea Chips (we already love this brand) - salmon skin crisps, made using the often wasted nutrient-packed skin
🥜 Eat Boundless - a seed and nut range
🔬 Feed Global - smart food such as a complete meal in a bottle
🍷 Made for Drink - premium bar snacks such as Chorizo Thins and Mangalitza Salami Chips
🍫 Nibble Protein - lower sugar vegan brownies
🥩 Prime Snacks - protein bar made using grass-fed British beef
🍬 Smith and Sinclair - Alcoholic Cocktail Gummies and drink flavours
🍋 Tea Rex Rocks - fruit infusion made of just fresh, never dried, finely chopped fruits and roots
It looks like you can get these new products online if you live near one of the trial stores. Instore the point of sale reads “If you love it, we’ll keep it.”
We’re on a mission to try the new range - let us know if you do too!
